Ophir Creek Trailhead – Mt. Rose Highway

Escape the heat and join us for our annual Wildflower Hike!
Ophir Creek Loop in the Tahoe Meadows off of Mt. Rose Highway

RSVP Today!on our membership site powered by Wild Apricot.

Meet at the Ophir Creek Trailhead about a mile after passing the Mt. Rose Highway Summit.  You’ll see a large parking area on your left as the terrain flattens out coming down from the summit. The trail is an easy 1.5-mile to 2-mile circle where meadow plants and flowers can be viewed, as well as a forested area with plants complementing that biome.  Wear sturdy shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and bring your water bottle.

Bring your bag lunch to cap off the hike with convivial conversation with friends who enjoy sharing some of Nevada’s extraordinary scenery.

Allow about 45 minutes travel time from Reno, and about an hour from Carson City.

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THIS EVENT, BUT YOU MUST RSVP.
