Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. The 20th century yielded many amazing women who  contributed greatly to the social structure of our  community. The challenges these women faced, (cultural,  racial and gender related), were the same as other women  met. Yet, these ladies, Esther Bennet, (1923-1993),  Florence Drake (1879-1971), and Alice Smith (1902-1990), made substantial contributions above the norm. Each was  honored with a local school named after her.

You will be treated to a glimpse of what drove them in  their accomplishments through the presentations of members of the Silver State Chautauqua, who will  highlight these amazing women.
