Join us for a wine and cheese event and meet the first female Adjutant General of Nevada. Major General Kirkland was appointed by Governor Kenny Guinn in 2005. She was responsible for both the federal and state missions of the Nevada National Guard commanding more than 4,500 members of the Nevada Air and Army National Guard. Major General Kirkland enlisted in the Navy in 1973 and retired in June 2009. We are excited for her to share her experiences as a female in the military.
